Even cats spread the all-contagious JoyGermOrigins
Parents always tell their kids to cough into their hands, to sneeze into Kleenex, to wash their hands before they eat, not to touch their mouth to the water fountain... Why? So they don't catch or spread germs. National JoyGerm Day is dedicated to the one type of germ everyone is encouraged to spread: The JoyGerm!

Other Interesting Tid-Bits
Many people misspell this day as "National Joy Germ Day," but JoyGerm is actually one word. If you think about it, all really long disease names are one word, even though it seems like they should be broken up into multiple words. Take "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis" for example. There are lots of words that seem like they should be separated, but they aren't. (Oh, and by the way, pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis is the longest word in the USA dictionary.)
